I can't believe that November is here and we are less than two months from Christmas. Paris has been having a lot of in between weather so finding outfits that are not too hot and not too cold has been next to impossible. I am really loving all the layering that has been going on lately and the heavy knits that are making a come back. Thick fabrics like wool and warm flannels have me thinking about the 90s plaids and my mom's old Bay coat. I have never well with layering because I tend to feel bulky but I'm thinking it's time to give it a go again. I'm really liking the new Evans AW10 collection, full of colourful knit tunics and booties - it all just looks so cozy. I am becoming a little nostalgic for that good old Canadian chilly fall weather and these pieces are a real pick me up.
I think we are all on a bit of a budget, because that's life, but I am on the hunt for something leopard print to add to my wardrobe and wouldn't mind owning a pair of these knee high boots below while I'm at it. I have to say, I think this year, we have seen so many combinations in styles come together, from plaids, to florals to embellishments. It almost feels like a little bit of everything is in, and it's up to us to figure out how we want to wear it.
I am probably the only human on Earth who will say "Bring on the winter storms weather man!" ... The Canadian in me is slowly getting out. I am ready for boots and cute coats, scarves and boho hats! Please don't shun me! So what about all of you, are you ready for the chilly weather and all that comes with it.. ahem... snow? :)
Ps. While I am on the subject of Evans, I am looking for the Beth Ditto Polka Dot dress in a size UK 18 or 20 - so if you are looking to sell one, please let me know! Thanks
