Weekend in Paris - French Curves Brunch

Hello everyone!
(francais en rose)
It's been such a busy week with my work moving buildings that I have neglected my poor little blog.  I will be back up and running with my Candy Coated Countdown shortly too. First though, I wanted to share a post about my amazing #FrenchCurves weekend in Paris.
For those of you who don't know, I lived in Paris for just over a year in 2010 before I came to the UK. Back then, my blog was a baby fashion blog and it helped me connect and make some amazing friends in France. When I went back last weekend, it was my first visit since I left almost 4 years ago. I was so happy to see old friends again and meet some amazing new ones.
#FrenchCurves is a monthly blog post with a different theme done by around 70 different French speaking bloggers - if you have never seen it, have a look at the hashtag!
I stayed with my gorgeous friend Gaelle who I was so happy to see again.
On Saturday, we met up with all the #Frenchcurves girls at Le Certa restaurant in central Paris where we had an amazing buffet of delicious French food.
We took lots of photos, ate lots of nice things and then prepared for an afternoon of shopping.

In the afternoon, we spent some time trying on clothes in Ulla Popken  a plus size store that isn't often  recognised for having many items for young and trendy women but rather more for older women, but we were all very surprised at how many great things we found. Check out Chloe modelling some of the items:

Next, we went to see the gorgeous little boutique shop called Pauline et Julie. These two sisters make the most beautiful and interesting plus size clothing. They take so much time to find gorgeous fabric and to prefect the cut and look of the clothing that every piece looks like something you would cherish and love in your closet. They make raw silk tutu skirts, and even Hepburn style vintage looking trousers and to top it all off, they do fantastic jewellery too.

The day was amazing and I had a chance to speak lots of French which felt really good.  Last of all, here is what I wore on the big day:
