What a weekend!

Oh my, it was really a wonderful weekend. On Saturday, I spent the beginning of the afternoon at Stephanie's (Blog de Big Beauty) lovely apartment for her Vide Dressing. There were some really great finds, a couple of which I wasn't fast enough to snatch up, but hey that's how it goes! I did however get a fabulous jean tunic from LaRedoute and a Jean Marc Phillipe tunic/sweater type shirt that is an egglant colour. I think with the weather we have been having,  I will probably be saving it for the winter to wear with leggings and boots, but you can never be too prepared.  It was so wonderful to meet Stephanie and she is absolutely wonderful, so friendly and funny and of course gorgeous. I met some really great people as well, as we all exchanged opinions on the things we tried on. So thank you so much Stephanie, it was a wonderful day and my first official Vide Dressing!

The second part of my Saturday was dedicated to helping a friend work on her clothing line. This is a project that I just started helping her with, to make her designs "curve friendly," because we all know that there are some things that just fit better on a rounder silhouette. I'm doing my best to be a good voice for us curvy ladies! I will have some pictures in the next little while of the process but I was so excited that I had to tell you all about it.

On Sunday, I got organized and made the trek out to Sakina (Saks in the city) and Charlotte's (Kylanita) Vide Dressing. I had such a great time and even got to see a couple of girls from Stephanie's on Saturday again. The afternoon was great, the sun was shining and we all gathered around to rummage through the awesome piles of clothes. Everyone tried on their finds and we all oohed and awed over them. I felt like I was in a room with old friends. It was really delightful to see a group of curvy girls who love their bodies, and who are comfortable in their own skin. Walking home, I felt 10 inches taller from the confidence I absorbed from being with all you wonderful ladies!  Of course, Sakina and Charlotte were amazing and I was so excited to finally meet them after reading their blogs back in Canada. Sakina took some absolutely gorgeous photos as well which you can check out on her blog or on Charlotte's as well. To give you a little taste here is one of a few of us all together with out bags of goodies, Saks in the city logos painted and all!

I will be back soon with photos of the wonderful things I purchased and also some of the process for the clothing line. See you all soon!!!
