Becoming a Biscuiteer!

Good morning lovelies!
So I couldn't wait to share what I did with you last night so was up early this morning preparing this post! Last night I went to Biscuiteers, which is a cafe, shop and school all for the love of biscuits and biscuit decorating and chocolate and cakes too. Anything you can imagine in biscuit form is probably something they do. The entire place is whimsical, colourful and just plain magical for those with a sweet tooth.

The shop upstairs has themed biscuit tins of every variety, and there is also a space at the back to have tea and biscuits if you just want to pop in. The staff are nothing short of amazing - all friendly and chatty and make you feel right at home. We were even offered a glass of bubble upon arrival!

Mr Toodaloo (Steven) and I attended the Icing Lates which happens on the first Tuesday of every month at their Notting Hill shop from 7-830pm. It's a fun session where you get a chance to learn lots of little techniques for decorating a biscuit from start to finish. Here I am in my snazzy apron!

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that with a bit of practice I was ok with a piping bag. I made a couple of great looking biscuits and a couple of not so great ones - but at the end of the day, they taste good regardless.
I think with a little practice to steady my hand, I could get better and have professional looking biscuits in no time! It's also an amazing excuse to bake cookies and have every cookie cutter under the sun in my collection. At the end of the class, we packaged up our biscuits in an adorable box and bag, folded away our aprons as we got those to take too and then did a bit of shopping upstairs. I went home with a skull cookie cutter and icing mix so I can practice.

There are loads of different classes you can attend so check out the website - I had so much fun and it was great to bring Steve along too as he had a wonderful time too!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be at my desk eating biscuits for the rest of the day!
