It's the 16th of May and I am back with my post for the blog challenge, French curves! The theme for May was to create a look with a wax piece - for those of you who aren't familiar with wax, it's a type of African cloth, typically colourful designs on cotton. The designs are meant to tell a story or carry a message and are a real iconic part of African culture.
Il est le 16 mai et je suis de retour avec mon poste pour le challenge French Curves! Le thème de mai était de créer un look autour d'une pièce de wax - pour ceux d'entre vous qui ne connaissent pas le wax, c'est un type de coton africain, généralement très colorés et pleins de jolie motifs. Les motifs sont supposer de raconter une histoire ou porter un message et font partie de la culture africaine.
I absolutely love wax fabric but have never owned anything made of it, so I began by doing a bit of research into what I wanted and decided on a skirt. Because the fabric is thick it looks amazing when made into clothing or hair wraps.
J'adore voir les look en wax, mais je l'ai jamais porter, donc j'ai commençais par faire un peu de recherche sur ce que je voulais et j'ai décidé sur une jupe. Parce que le tissu est épais, c'est bien pour faire des vêtements avec ou aussi des chapeaux.
I researched all over Etsy as I wanted to find someone who had a passion for the fabric and creation and I found Adel, who sells on Etsy as CurvySwan and lives in London. I fell in love with this skirt and ordered it right away! Adel confirmed my waist measurements to make sure I got the best fit and less than a week later I had this amazing skirt in my hands.
J'ai regarder partout sur Etsy pour trouver quelqu'un qui connais bien le wax et fait des super créations et j'ai trouvais Adel, qui vend sur Etsy comme CurvySwan et vit à Londres.
Je suis tombé en amour avec cette jupe et je l'ai commandé tout de suite! Adel a confirmé mes mesures de taille pour assurer que c’était la bonne taille et moins d'une semaine plus tard, j'ai reçu ma super jupe!
As soon as I put the skirt on I felt amazing. The fabric is gorgeous and it makes me feel like a princess.
This skirt feels special and it has an amazing belt attached to give it an extra detail.

Dès que j'ai mis la jupe je me sentais incroyable. Le tissu est magnifique et il y a aussi une ceinture géniale attaché sur les cotes qui donne un look même plus spéciale!
