Modern men don't need their wives and girlfriends to dress them (or at least they shouldn't). But that doesn't mean that us ladies can't take an interest in men's fashion. And occasionally buy the men in our lives a present or two as well. Or persuade them to get themselves something we think suits them. However much influence you have over your significant other (or friend, dad or brother), you can always get them a fashionable gift. Even though I'm not going to wear them, I enjoy looking at men's fashion items. And I might occasionally buy something for my fiance. So here are some fun ideas for treating the stylish man in your life.
Summer Accessories
It's summer, although you wouldn't always know it from the weather in the UK. And it's not just women who can show a bit of skin when the sun is out. Although, it might be nice if some men learned when it is and isn't appropriate to take their shirt off. I love summer accessories, from sunglasses to hats, and there's so much out there for men too. You can't go wrong with a pair of super slick aviators. But finding the right style of hat can be a mission you never manage to fulfill.
Practical Work Clothes
No matter what your job is, most of us spend the majority of our time working and sleeping. And men need to look good at work just as much as women do. For a lot of jobs, even if you're not interested in fashion, it's essential to look professional. If you want to help someone make a good impression, there are lots of work-related clothes and accessories you can get them. Even if they have to wear a uniform, you can get things like stylish chef jackets for men. If you're not sure where to start, a tie or some cufflinks won't go amiss for office workers. A new shirt, belt or wallet are all excellent options too.
Fragrances
Gone are the days when men had to either smell of Old Spice or Lynx. There are so many different scents they can try, far beyond the old options. A lot of men don't want to bother with any kind of fragrance, but then neither do many women. But I think that if a man wants to, he should smell just as lovely as any woman, as long as he doesn't tip a whole bottle over himself. Choosing a scent for someone else can be difficult, but if they already have a favourite, it's easy to buy them a refill.
Watches
Some people might see watches as a little old-fashioned. But they're still the ultimate in sophisticated accessories. Plus, now they can do all sorts of high-tech things. Whether you're on a budget or you have some cash to splash, you can treat someone to a smart watch. That's smart in the traditional sense, of course. If you want to get them an Apple Watch or something similar, you definitely need to be willing to spend more.
If there's one thing I love more than shopping for myself, it's buying for other people. I can't wait until I have an excuse to get someone a present.
