Hey lovelies,
So this morning, I happened to come across the news that Dorothy Perkins is launching a plus sized collection on October 8th and I couldn't be more excited. I have always loved the brand and found them to be a great spot for on trend and comfortable pieces for almost any occasion. The DP Curve collection is a welcome addition as although I can sometimes fit into the standard collection, it's always a squeeze and never the right cut and I wouldn't dream of getting into the trousers.
This collection is apparently going to mirror some of what we see in the standard collection which is very exciting. There will be denim in skinny, boot cut, flare and boyfriend too, along with work wear and cute basics. It will go up to a size 28 as well.
I think it will be great to have another high street brand offering plus size and challenging the market to up their game. I also think that the Dorothy Perkins customer is one that is young and fun so the designs will be more on trend and exciting in comparison to their Arcadia counterpart, Evans, who although have a lot of wonderful designs, still must keep hold of their older customer and therefor cater some designs with that customer in mind.
DP Curve very kindly sent me the mood board for the collection - it looks very Fall friendly and work wear friendly - we will have to wait till the 8th to see what else is coming! How exciting!
